Not immediately sure, can you send me the IDs for these events so that I can take a look? (evt_1234)
sure, the events are for the subscription: sub_1OVFuVL7qyU6wPquqHXZQYhF
- customer.subscription.updated: evt_1OgUgmL7qyU6wPquK8r6SS9W
- invoice.paid: evt_1Ogu0nL7qyU6wPqubLsqHIB2
Thank you, the server is busy and I am still catching up, so it may be a few minutes before I can take a proper look, but I will get back to you as soon as I can
After looking, I am not immediately sure what happened. I reached out to my colleagues about this and will let you know what we can find here
It looks like this was a payment from an Indian customer and Indian regulations + our partner platform require us to wait 26 hours to charge https://stripe.com/docs/india-recurring-payments#:~:text=This means that Stripe delays collecting payment by 26 hours
Thank you! This explains a lot! But why is Indian user not charged 26 hours before current_period_end? Would be perfect to have consistent order of events for all users
Honestly I am not sure about that design decision and if there is a regulatory reason we had to do it specifically like this (with Indian payments there often is). If you reach out to our support team they may be able to find a better explanation for you https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
