@lethal smelt assuming you have enabled emails for Invoices/Subscriptions then yes. A PaymentLink just creates a Subscription in that case
thanks ๐ is there a way of testing that, the documentation states in test mode no emails will be sent?
If the email address on the Customer is the same as the account owner/team member on your account then emails should be sent I think. I haven't tested in a while but should be straightforward to try
i have been making test purchases with my own email address which is used for Stripe.
The documentation states "Stripe only sends email receipts for payments that are made with your live API key or through your live Dashboard. If you are expecting an email for a test transaction, one will not be sent."
I was hoping there was another way of testing the workflow. Thanks

If you're using the same email you use to login to the Dashboard we will sometimes send emails in test mode, but not always. Instead of relying on emails in test mode you can look at which Events are generated to confirm the actions you wanted to happen take place.
