Can you tell me a bit more about your usecase? Is this Stripe Connect and you are the platform? And are you trying to increase the price to pass the Stripe fee all the way to the end customer who is making the purchase?

Yes, they are using stripe connect to pay a 3rd party, a base flat payment. The platform should receive 25% of every transaction and I need to pass the stripe fee to the customer

So unfortunately we don't have an API to see the Stripe fee in advance, typically we reccommend estimating the fee and adding it to the payment intent's amount like in this support article https://support.stripe.com/questions/passing-the-stripe-fee-on-to-customers
