Hello

#

Most likely what you want to do in this case is use a Subscription schedule

#

Then you can set your phase to end when you desire and make the update

I'll get on these docs, but my understanding was, that this will change the subscription at a specific point in time. But what I'd like, is for the subscription to be increased immediately (so the increase in quantity should already be factored in), and the user should pay the difference the next month instead of at the end of the year.

Is that possible with subscription schedules?

#

Basically I want the same as proration_behavior=always_invoice when I make a quantity change to the subscription, but to only invoice at the start of next month.

If I set it to always invoice, then my customer would get plenty of invoices if they add new or remove members.

Yeah the only way to really do this would be to update the Subscription Schedule with that new amount that would charge at the end of the month

Ok. So basically I would need to do this:

When my customer makes changes to the members in their organization I follow these steps:

  • Update the quantity immediately (so the usage is prorated)
  • Create subscription schedule, for the next month, that will set the same quantity again and trigger an invoice

That sounds right to me
