Auto just means that the price is assumed to be incl. for every currency other than USD and CAD right?

I'm not too sure what happened though. If you face the same issue consistently in the future, I'd recommend writing to Support https://support.stripe.com/contact, so that they can check it for you

Price default to unspecified if include tax in price is not specified. Auto is set to unspecified by default.
