Okay so yeah you shouldn't be testing in live mode at all as this is against card network regulations (see: https://stripe.com/docs/testing). Have you tested in test mode?

Okay well first thing to do then is to test in test mode right now and ensure it works.

You could also check your Dashboard to see if those payments that you tried in live mode were simply declined by the issuing bank.
