Taking a look!

#

Do you have an example subscription that you're comparing this one to?

On sub_1ObR42CcKlYJxALVDQRqq8H2, the first charge was SEPA debit and the subscription went to unpaid when it failed

Hm, I see both were transitioned to active. The first payment for sub_1ObR42CcKlYJxALVDQRqq8H2 was processing and failed a few days later, which is when the subscription was moved from active to unpaid

Yes, that is expected. But sub_1ObMCPCcKlYJxALVqfPrWKJM didn't move from active to unpaid when py_3ObMCPCcKlYJxALV12Fz9TWj failed

Sorry for the delay! Taking a closer look

Still working on this! Haven't been able to reproduce yet

I was able to reproduce by creating the subscription with a test card that fails using the deferred payment intent flow. When that charge fails, open the stripe-hosted invoice page and pay with SEPA direct debit (subscription has to be in EUR, SEPA has to be enabled for billing)

Could you share the subscription ID from this test?

Sorry for the delay. We're sometimes able to reproduce this so still investigating

#

Okay, getting closer! I think we've found the cause

I won't be able to resolve the issue here, unfortunately. Could you open a support request at https://support.stripe.com/contact/ and mention that you were discussing with developer support on Discord? Please also include the subscription IDs you flagged above. I'll look out for the case so we can continue to discuss over email

Will do. Thanks for your help so far!

Sure thing!
