Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Those settings can differ between test and live mode so that definitely could be the issue
If that doesn't work, can you send me the code for initializing your payment element and the ID of a payment intent that you saw this on in live?
