hi! AFAIK if 3D Secure is required on the payment at the end of the trial the best way to handle it is turn on the setting that lets us email the customer to come and do the authentication https://stripe.com/docs/india-recurring-payments?integration=subscriptions#secure-emails
beyond that for the "users are allowed to enter the credit card details to their profile(using checkout sessions)" maybe we don't create the e-mandate for mode:"setup" unfortunately(the docs seem to imply it only happens for mode:"subscription" ) so the first payment will always fail/need to be authenticated and the mandate is created at that time instead
