hi there!

using a SetupIntent is the correct option to save the card without charging the user. and a SetupIntent won't check the balance of the user, it will only check if the card is valid.

I agree the error message is confusing, but you are using a test card specifically designed to return an error, so it does makes sense.

but this error shouldn't happen in live mode.
