Hello! Can you give me the request ID of the POST request you mentioned?
Yep. Here is what I think is the final stripe-side account setup post. Notice no statement_descriptor is in the account object in the response.

Right after that, our app does a POST to the account to set a single metadata field:

And that response indicates the statement_descriptor was somehow set
I don't think your request set the descriptor, I think we did between these two requests based on the information previously provided, but let me confirm...
I was wrong! This request did update the descriptors somehow. Investigating, hang on...

I've been trying to reproduce it in our test stripe, but have not been able to unfortunately
My hunch was that the system was defaulting that value into statement_descriptor (pulling it from some other field provided during setup, like business name or similar)
