trying 366 days
Seems like leap year is not accounted for in trial
24th is greyed out on the trial box
Hi, I think that is expected. As a workaround, I think you could update the Subscription before the current trial expires.
Why would it be expected?
Also, if I try to lower the subscription length it adds more to their next invoice
I want the customer to have 1 free cycle, no charge
Expected in that you can only offer 365 days of free trial, that is the maximum.
I can share your feedback with the team
See here, I just lowered it to 23rd jan and the invoice increased
In the meantime, you can update the Subscription before the trial ends and that should work.
Yes I can manually update it tomorrow with another day, but checkout the picture above
definitely not as intened I would say, as lowering the subscription length should not add more to the invoice
At least very confusing
I agree, I'll share this feedback with the team.
but the work around is that tomorrow it will say 364 days and I can bump it again?
I recommend that you test this: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/testing/test-clocks
Via the API, you can update it, https://stripe.com/docs/api/subscriptions/update#update_subscription-trial_end and we help with API/ Integration questions on this channel.
for the future, it was easier to just add a credit balance on the customer
