I see, so each retry would be a new payment intent then?
As a follow-up, from what I'm seeing in https://stripe.com/docs/payments/paymentintents/lifecycle#intent-statuses, there is no 'failed' status for a payment intent. Is that correct? Any failed payment intents (for example due to insufficient balance) would have 'requires_payment_method' as a status?

after 10 failed attempts the payment_intent becomes canceled
