For one-off invoices, you control finalization and creation, so you could set invoice memo before finalizing the invoice

For prorated invoices on upgrades, though, that's a good point. Let me see what the options are

seems like there should be a way to set that information on the Customer or Subscription object itself?

Yeah I'm not seeing a way to update the invoice memo in that proration scenario

What data is going in the description exactly?

If it's just customer info like name, email, address, I think it should pull that from the Customer object
