The problem with the 0 amount is that you'd have false positives like 100% off coupons for example so that wouldn't really work unless you also looked at other parts of the Invoice to check if any Discount(s) was applied

Sadly no, there is no sure way to check this unfortunately other than checking the Subscription and check if it is in a trial at that time.
