Hello! We'll be with you shortly. Below are links to other discussions we've had with you in the past week in case you want to review that information. If your question is related to one of these previous discussions, please provide a comprehensive summary of the current state and what you need help with now. We help many users simultaneously, so a summary allows us to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

Not sure what you mean, can you provide more details? What happens to who/what exactly?

In the Android app, customer selects a card and we create a Setup Intent.

#

We plan on charging the customer after a service is provided.

#

Customer then deletes that card. How will we complete the charge?

indigo rain
#

If you allow them to delete the card it will no longer be usable, and can't be charged.

Can I stop him from deleting the card? Its in the stripe payment sheet UI.

I think there's a configuration option for that, but let me look...

#

Sorry for the delay, wanted to make sure, but it looks like there isn't an option for this. It's being tracked internally as a feature request, but there's no ETA for adding this.

#

So you can either show them their saved Payment Methods and allow deletion or not show them at all, I'm afraid.

Isn't this a rather basic feature? Specially for the Save and Reuse scenario?

indigo rain

I can't really comment on what is or isn't a basic feature, I can only tell you what the current status is.

#

How do I prevent them from seeing their saved payment methods in that Payment Sheet?

indigo rain
#

You would not initialize the sheet with a Customer.

carmine monolith
#

Oh so the Payment Sheet treats the user as a new person every time it opens?

indigo rain
#

It's more like it just collects payment details, which you can then attach to the Customer yourself.

Understood. Not really user-friendly but understood. Thanks for your help! Have a good day.
