How are you testing this out currently? Are you 100% sure that google pay is available on the mobile device you're testing with?

I'm not testing on a mobile device, all of the testing on the web using the chrome devtools to simulate a mobile resolution
basically i'm just changing the resolution of the screen

Ah, have you tried testing it on a real mobile device to see if you can replicate the same behavior?

no, for now i can't test it on a mobile device
but is there an issue with the express element buttons width?

No, as far as I know there shouldn't be an issue - if I try with the Express Checkout Element in our docs (https://stripe.com/docs/elements/express-checkout-element/accept-a-payment) I see Google Pay show up fine in both mobile and desktop views
