We are Stripe developers that work for Stripe, though this is a public server, so non-Stripe folks can interact as well.

OK that explains it. I did not know since its my first time here, and the person answering was bothered by that. I thought he is a third-party /volunteer support as usually a vendor provided support is more patient and nicer to their clients.

No worries! We're all engineers here, so unfortunately a bit of wryness is to be expected. Mostly we just want to get people their resolutions as fast as possible, so we're very "straight to the point"
