The error seems to indicate the charge you're referring to in source_transaction was for usd but seems like the currency was brl for the original charge huh

yeah, the charge was in BRL though which is why i am confused

ah so the platform can't hold BRL balance. When the charge settled, it was converted into USD.
US platforms can only maintain USD balance

I don't think that portion means it will transfer to the connected account.
It most likely means we'll transfer funds to you (the platform balance) in USD

i see. so it sounds like there are 2 options:

We do the calculation/conversion to transfer the funds to the connected account in USD (insted of BRL)

We use destination charges (instead of separate charges & transfers) and let Stripe handle the conversion on our behalf. Would this option work ?

I think for 1/ the connected account would also see fx fees being taken off from the transfer (since we'd convert the transferred USD to BRL)
