Sorry I don't really grasp your question.
Do you have an example you can share? Will help to be on the same page

Example: A customer signs up for an annual subscription costing $1200 paid in installments over 12 months. The customer paying $1200 in installments over 12 months, is it possible for me to consume $1200 from the customer's credit card initially, like a traditional purchase in installments on the card?

The problem I'm facing is that I'm not consuming the full subscription amount on the customer's credit card when the amount is paid in installments.

That's not how installments work right? $1200 paid over 12 months would be $100 per month

If you create a subscription then you'd basically be charging the payment method 12 times for $100 charges.

You can't block $1200 on the initial payment for subscription (since the initial payment is $100)

Okay, but I wouldn't necessarily like to receive the $1200 at the beginning, but I need the total amount ($1200) of the subscription to be consumed on the customer's credit card.

Preventing, for example, the customer from consuming for 3 months ($300), giving up on the subscription and ending up not paying the remainder of the 9 months ($900) of the subscription.

Is it possible on Stripe?

sorry for the delay. I don't believe you can just block the whole amount on customer's card no.
