There shouldn't be any dashboard-specific steps you need to use Checkout (assuming your account is all set up and everything)

all set-up --> I just went through the registration as far as I remember...

For creating a checkout session you'd use the secret key (like sk_123) so if that's the key you're seeing then yes, that's correct

ok, I see now I have to put something in the line_items like "PRICE_ID" - so I guess I should configure something in the dashboard right?

I mean, this is to be taken from dashboard?

Yes, prices are needed for Checkout Sessions, but they don't necessarily have to be created through the Dashboard
