@tacit aurora  Have a non-technical question, account issue, or need one-on-one support? We wish we could help, but this community is focused on developers and technical discussions. Our support team will be able to assist you better than we can: https://support.stripe.com/contact

We don't know anything about pci compliance in here

#

We just help devs with api questions

#

When you say checkout are you referring to Stripe's hosted checkout page though?

tacit aurora
#

yeah

charred root
#

Oh pci compliance is handled by us if you're using stripe's hosted checkout session flow

tacit aurora
#

Even if connecting directly through API ?

charred root
#

What do you mean by that

tacit aurora
#

One sec -- getting the doc that stated such from your security guide

charred root
#

If you're using stripe hosted checkout sessions, your server never touches card numbers

#

so pci compliance wouldn't be a concern

#

unless you're collecting card info on your site

#

in any case, i can't provide pci compliance advice

#

i'm not an expert

#

I can only help you with api questions

This is the part that made everyone freak out:

#

I understand, thank you.

#

"The simplest way for you to be pci compliant is to never see or have access to card data at all"

tacit aurora
#

100%

Bullet #1

tacit aurora
#

perhaps that is what I'm confirming

charred root
#

applies to stripe checkout

tacit aurora
#

Ok perfect

#

Thanks again for your help, including going outside your boundaries. Appreciate you.

No problem

tacit aurora
#

I'm a developer, so PCI stuff is also out of my realm

charred root
#

Yeah I can't provide advice on how to be pci compliant, but I can tell you that using Stripe Checkout to collect payments is PCI compliant. That's one of the perks of using our hosted flows

No doubt! It's why everyone freaked out regarding PCI lol -- They were like "this was the main reason we went with Stripe!"

#

Thanks again, have an awesome day 🙂 May your patience be long as your will to help

No problem! Best of luck in your integration journey
