Hello
No it wouldn't be canceled, but I do believe it will be held and not submitted if Payouts are paused.
If you provide the payout ID then I can take a deeper look
held as in the funds will go back to the stripe balance? I'm just trying to work through all the payout scenarios, I don't have a sepecific payout ID
Once the payout is created it won't be canceled unless you explicitly cancel it using https://stripe.com/docs/api/payouts/cancel
so what would the pending payout status get updated to be? just paused?
and the funds wont go back to the balance? once the payout is resumed, that specific payout will be payout to the bank?
Yeah my understanding is that is will stay in pending and then once payouts are unpaused it would be submitted and move to in_transit. Let me double check on that.
Okay I did a quick check and checked with a teammate and really we aren't 100% sure on whether the Payout would still be submitted or held in pending. It may also depend on the country where the Payout is being submitted and the exact timing. If you are looking for a 100% answer on this, you'll want to provide a detailed ask to our Support team via https://support.stripe.com/contact/login so they can work internally to figure out exactly what would happen for this edge case.
