However we are struggling for it to accept tap to pay debit transactions — any clue why?

Does it have to do w/ the capture method we have set as Manual?

I suspect that might be the case, that only credit cards are supported, but can you share an example failed payment?

For ex. Using my BMO debit card when I tap it on my phone I get ‘get card not supported’ it doesn’t capture it on stripe dev logs

Ok, confirmed Tap on Android doesn't yet support interac/debit for Canada, you'd need to use the Interac approach with a reader here:
https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/payments/regional?integration-country=CA#interac-payments

Sorry what do you mean by reader? It won’t work on our android device as of yet so we need a pos machine?
