Generally recurring invoices are automatically finalized after ~1 hour. What are you trying to do? Why do you need it to stay in draft?

If you have a clock then in theory you can just move the clock time to the next billing anchor date exactly and the invoice should still exist in a draft state

If you move the time >= 1 hour after the billing time then likelihood is it'll have been finalized and/or paid
