Hello! You'll likely want to talk to support (https://support.stripe.com/contact) for more details on fees - there's a lot of factors that'll affect the fee amount (country, custom pricing, products used, etc.)

We are experimenting with offering free trials to our customers so we would like to charge them just the Stripe fee and nothing else, we are using Stripe Connect Express accounts, we thought a 3.5% buffer would be close enough to the Stripe fees but for this test payment we would lose 50 cents.

That is a USD card
This is the CAD card, 4000001240000000
Run that card, and it will be the correct amount

Also, you can tell with the zip code field
When you use this card, the zip code field will change to a postal code
nice, ty, and where in the dashboard do you confirm pm_card_visa and USD stuff? I couldn't find currency information anywhere in this case

The origin shows the country, and based on the Connect Account's country you may or may not be subject to international card fees

I'm pretty sure I just built what you're building and tbh, will be quicker to sync than for you to bang your head figuring out everything I figured out three weeks ago
Are you planning on using Stripe Connect Standard accounts to address this issue of being impossible to correctly calculate the fees at the time of creation of the payment intent?
