Based on your description, you seem to be creating destination charges (where funds land to your platform account)

In this case, you would need to create a transfer separately.

If you want the funds to go directly to the connected account (businesses) then you'd want to switch to direct charges

What type of connected accounts are you working with?

We only recommend doing that with standard type connected accounts
