This is for a monthly subscription, right? If it is, we don't allow you to select a billing cycle anchor that's more thatn a month out from the current start date
Is there a reason you want to allow for a billing cycle anchor that's more than 31 days away?
If a person signs up on the 1st of the month we do not want them to be able to select the 2nd, get prorated for $1.50 get all of our services for a day, then cancel prior to the initial full subscription price.
It takes between 5 and 10 days of a subscription for us to cover our monthly cost of providing the service, so we want to restrict their ability to select a date closer than that.
That was that initial prorated amount will be enough to cover our costs before they start the full subscription.
The user may legitimately want to select a day of the month in those first 10 days to be charged monthly though, so I thought adding 10 extra days to the back end of the billing cycle anchor would solve that problem.
The only way I think of making this work is if they select between 31-40 days out you'd create a Subscription Schedule that'll have an initial period for a full month and add a second phase to reset the billing cycle anchor on the day of their choosing.
How do I reset the the billing cycle anchor after a subscription is created?
