@indigo raven the CLI usually runs locally on the machine of the server right? Do you have an example Event id evt_123 I can look at?
evt_1OK82GBg0h8qxqP3rLRygP4O
so what happens when you curl that endpoint yourself, does it work?

I just tried with our system and we get a 301 redirect right now on that URL. So you seem to have something misconfigured somewhere
I copy pasted the exact URL you have on your endpoint right now
and i had the 301 redirect issue earlier on the dashboard but it changed to the unable to connect after using the /
Do you have another example Event more recently after you updated the URL?
evt_1OK84KBg0h8qxqP30N0PnjWd
this is before update
oh apologies its resending the same event
evt_1OKn0bBg0h8qxqP3Q432NMaM
thanks I can see the failure. Investigating
appreciate the help!
@indigo raven okay sorry for the delay. I think your hit some weird edge-case in our infra that prevents us from connecting. I changed something on that endpoint, can you try a new Event?
It worked! Thank you so much!
@indigo raven okay sooooo we had to change something for this specific endpoint. If you were to create a new one, it'd break again. I'm sorry I know it's really annoying but keep that in mind. If you need a new endpoint then you will have to reach out to our support team. It'll be tough to get through the layers of explanations/people so try to say something like this:
For my WebhookEndpoint to work, I need Stripe's engineering team to change a specific setting for me in their backend. If you don't, the connection fails and you need to escalate so that they can enable a custom feature related to the network library used internally (excon) on your end. Please escalate to the right team for help
It's still not a magic bullet sadly 😦
... That's amazing thank you, can i use this thread as evidence of that?
yep totally but most people can't read the thread (you have to have a Discord account and all that) that's why I'm warning you. At worst you can come back here but most people on my team don't know about this feature either and wouldn't know how to help you 😦
so is the issue, the specific endpoint, can i get any kind of context? because this is for a client of my company and if he should choose to change services would they run into this specific issue
unfortunately I don't have much to share. We know that in some weird edge-cases our infra can't properly talk to some servers. We don't really know why but we have an older infra where it works and swapping your endpoint to that old infra fixes it usually (it just did here) so that's what I did for you to unblock you
it's something we want to improve for sure, but it's also existed for years so I am kinda making sure you're aware that if you add a new endpoint later instead of the current one you might need the same thing 😦
Alright, thank you for your help! Will keep this in mind.
Happy to help! Have a good rest of the week!
