hi! do you happen to have a link to the page where you're using the PaymentElement and expecting GPay to appear and it's not, so I can look in my browser?
Nope, I'm testing in a local environment. I can setup a publicly visible deployment if needed. Also here's a test mode payment intent id, if that would help: pi_2OKftnYcNkb4llAk1wKwoGsT
thanks, easiest option is a link if that's possible
Okay, will get it setup and get back to you. Might take a while. Should I write in this thread or start a new one?
depends, I'm here for 45 minutes
anyway, to be clear, do you know the requirements for Google Pay?
like you have to be using Chrome, and be logged into your Google account
and have real cards in your wallet at https://payments.google.com/gp/w/u/0/home/paymentmethods
Nope, didn't know that. Will try it out rn.
ok.
it doesn't just appear in general, we only render these buttons if the customer has the payment method set up already, for an 'express' checkout process
see https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button?client=html#chrome (I know that page is not the PaymentElement, but it's the same requirements and it's where we keep the docs)
