Hey there
We don't send emails in test mode as to not spam folks
The test cards simulate as if the email was received
I see, so there is no way to test these scenarios on test mode? How would I test the test cards provided in the links? I'm just unsure how to go about testing if I'm not getting the notifications
You don't need the notification itself to test the flow?
Like basically for the notifcations you just trust that they are sent... they will work as long as you have a Customer email set
gotcha, we just wanted to make sure that the notifications are sent if we ship this on production. If we don't need the notification itself to test the flow, what other ways is there to test the behaviors on test mode?
Not positive what you mean by that... you can test the entire flow using the test cards (https://stripe.com/docs/india-recurring-payments?integration=subscriptions#testing) except there won't be any debit notification email sent.
Like say,, test card with this number 4000003560000123 . How would I test for "Simulates successful mandate setup and renewals." ?
Sorry, I don't really understand the confusion... you just use that card number in test mode in your integration.

I did @last osprey . I'm just not sure how I would test it? Like for dispute cards for example, I use the test card number in test mode and check to see if the disputes are created.. How would I do it for mandate test cards is my question, because I'm not getting notifications or can't simulate the scenarios as they are described in (https://stripe.com/docs/india-recurring-payments?integration=subscriptions#testing)
👋 Hello! Hopping in here since bismarck has to head out
Give me a minute to catch up
The intention behind the test cards listed in our docs is that they simluate the behavior of receiving the pre-debit notifcation but don't actually send the email. As an example - 4000003560000123 is just meant to show how the flow would behave if the email were sent and it was authorized. In comparison, the 4000003560000123 test card behaves as the user rejected the pre-debit authorization
that makes perfect sense, thanks for the explanation! So I guess there is no way to actually check the pre-debit notifications on test mode?
As far as I know there isn't
