Then the above isn't really possible.

The only way you can really accomplish what you are looking for is to use a US-based platform and use Cross Border Payouts for your Express Accounts: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/cross-border-payouts

And there would still be an FX involved upon the transfer to the affiliate.

We will make the application US-based in the future. Is there currently an alternative solution that is not automatic and does not include FX?

You can't Transfer cross border from an AU platform

So you would only currently be able to support AU Express Accounts with this current model

Yes I understand. But if you want to use the application fee you take from your Standard Accounts to fund the Transfer to the Express Accounts then that involves making a Transfer like we discuss here: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers - as you can see in that doc, there are cross border regulations that prohibit you from doing this outside of Australia
