No, unfortunately not
But Apple and Google Pay are available to everyone
Is there a specific Apple or Google Pay feature that you are having trouble with?
are these feature not toggleable bu the end user through the Stripe Dashboard?
we have our own hosted payment page and wanted to use our own decryption of the Google Pay token passing the decrypted DPAN to Stripe. However we were told that this is an "advanced feature" which need to be gated by Stripe Support since it isn't enabled by default
so we are now making a decision what to do next (we cannot use Checkout or Elements given our own hosted page). But in order to render the AP/GP buttons we would liek to know if these features are gated in Stripe system.
You will be able to choose what is shown on your custom payment page. When you are making direct charges, the payment methods displayed will be from your connect settings https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/payment_methods/connected_accounts
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Your users cannot change that from their dashboard, only the settings for PaymentIntents that they create directly
ok thanks
but I guess the feature for "Processing Google Pay decrypted tokens" is still something which need to be gated per account (connected or not)?
or can it be default gated (for all connected accounts) similarly for Stripe Connect as well?
You will need to talk to support about this https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
Find help and support for Stripe. Our support site provides answers on all types of situations, including account information, charges and refunds, and subscriptions information. Get your questions answered and find international support for Stripe.
Usually things just have to be enabled on your platform account in a way that applies to connected accounts, but I don't know the specific details of this feature
We mostly only know about public features on this server. For betas and other functionality that needs to be enabled, we defer to support
sure thanks
I'd also reccommend to not focus on the gate part of this specifically. Gates are an internal implimentation detail and honestly the support person should not have mentioned it before. From your perspective it just matters what is enabled for each account
correct
I think our case is slightly more complex. We are a Salesforce platform where we serve differebt clients and some of them have Stripe (and other) merchant accounts. We try to serve them with as little friction as possible during the setup so the decrypted Google Pay we wanted to use would have been simplifying things. Unfortunately we were told that this feature need to be enabled and likely per every client on our Stripe Connect Platform but that makes things less simple (clients are less technical and Stripe Support sometimes is a real pain)
I'd double check that with support. As far as I am aware features like this shouldn't require each connect account to reach out individually
yes, the trouble is it depends who you reach at Stripe Support, and we sometimes get conflicting information
but thanks for the info. I'm now going back to Support again to see what this needs doing
to be honest this channel is a much more stable line of support/advice/help and everything between than the main Support, for which I can only say 👍
Sorry to hear that that has been your experience, we are always trying to improve our support across all channels. Glad you are having good experiences here at least!
