Thank you!
Can you run the exact same test again?
Basically... is this happening every time?
It looks to us like you may be running into a race condition
Yeah it is. But I can do another.
We haven't been able to reproduce ourselves yet
But yeah if you can do it every time then that is a bit different
Yeah that was my hunch. It's that last event that sets the subscription to active that is confusing me.
Let me try again.
Yeah we definitely agree it shouldn't be doing that
But it may just be a testmode race condition bug here

same thing
It's not a terribly popular use case. I could probably test it in prod before anyone else finds it if we think it's just testmode issue.
Just can't do it right now since I'm not ready to deploy.
Well we will want to get it fixed regardless. Thanks for testing again -- give us a couple more minutes
@torpid dust appreciate your patience. As an update we were able to reproduce as well and we are continuing to investigate.
Great. Thank you again!
If it helps, I've triple checked that I'm not doing anything weird in the other webhook events (like updating a subscription). Just updating firebase and sending emails.
Yep agreed

๐ hopping in here to give you a quick update - we're able to reproduce the issue on our end, and we're looping in some folks to take a look.
Thanks Karbi! No rush, I have plenty of other stuff to do in the meantime.
@torpid dust I'm not sure how quickly the team is going to be able to look into this, so I'd recommend writing into support (https://support.stripe.com/contact) so that we can send you an update once this is fixed.
Do you have a reference number or anything?
Or should I just send them a screenshot?
If you mention that you spoke to karbi on discord then I can find it on my end and make sure it gets correctly linked
OK perfect. Thank you!
Let me know once you're done so I can confirm I found it ๐
Done.
๐ found it! Someone will reach out as soon as we know more
