Hi, let me help you with this.
I am not sure what you mean by "register and activate an email on Stripe" exactly?
Yes, it's a continuation of the same discussion. Yesterdau, I started by asking if I could call the Customer Portal using an email from a user of my platform who is not registered and active on the Stripe platform. The answer was that this was not possible. I understand that the Customer Portal only works for users with a registered and active email on the Stripe platform. So, I thought about doing the process using another route. Every time I register a new user on my platform, I would also register on the Stripe platform the same user, in an automated way. I have two doubts. Is it possible to automate the registration and activation of a user on the Stripe platform? If it is possible, how do I do this?
I still have the same question, what do you mean by "register and activate an email on Stripe"? Creating a Stripe account? Or creating a Customer object on your account with a given email address?
Also, you don't need an email to allow customers to use the Customer Portal: https://stripe.com/docs/customer-management/integrate-customer-portal
You just need their Customer object ID.
When we use the Customer Portal the first thing that is requested is email. The Customer Portal returns a message, when I enter any email, that this email needs to be actively registered on the platform to receive the email with access to the Customer Portal, which expires in 30 minutes. When testing, I discovered that this email must be active on the Stripe platform to receive this link to access the Portal. My question was if there is any automatic way to perform this activation on Stripe.
Customer Portal the first thing that is requested is email
I am not sure this is correct. How are you doing this?
If you look at the URL I shared, you can see that you can generate a Portal Session with a given Customer ID, and then it doesn't require authentication.
Please remove the secret key from the chat @rain wren
I removed for you.
Thank you!
Answering your question: yes.
Great! I'll try it. If I have any other question I'll let you know. Thank you so much.
Happy to help.
