@coarse parcel no you don't have control over this in the API. This is a Dashboard setting for each individual account

we're using custom accounts though so Our merchants don't have access to a dashboard
If you are using Custom accounts then you must be using Destination Charges so the setting is global on your own platform account
Only for subscription then?
Because we're using direct charges for one time payments
That is a total mistake too. You really should never be using Direct Charges with Custom accounts
Oh why is that? We've been told it's ok
Not sure who would have told you it's okay. It's just a mistake, always use Destination Charges in flows like this. For one-time payments and Subscriptions
