You mentioned Stripe dashboard first, and now customer portal. So which one is it?

Then yes just open the Subscription you want to change in the dashboard, and set a new price.
I cant find to option to change the price
i can change the price but not the frequency
Delete the current price and create a new one.
I add the products using the api, so the products are automatically archived

I don't understand the issue. If you want to change price of an existing Subscription in the dashbaord, you can. You just need to create a new Price.
If you have more questions about this, I recommed asking Stripe support https://support.stripe.com/contact. Here we only answer technical question about the API.
