is it okay if i post it here?
Sure
I can't see Link here. Could you please share a screen recording of the behavior you observe?
can i let you know the payment id of problematic transaction?
What's this then?
Sure

That's a Payment Method. What's the problem with it exactly?
problem is I want to make sure the customers submit their address with payment. But the linked payment id is of the transaction where customer was able to pay without putting address in. I want to make sure this does not happen
i am passing this when creating checkout session
shipping_address_collection: { allowed_countries: ['GB'], }
Were you able to reproduce this behavior?
no i dont have any Link setup
How is this different from other use cases? (when you actually got the shipping address)
to be honest, i am not even sure. but my educated guess is when the customers use "link" they get to skip filling any input fields for convenience (whole point of "link"). I tried it by entering card numbers (normal payment by card) and it does require that address field to be filled. But i have not tried the link to pay.
i am not sure if theres any additional parameter or setup to fix payments received by link or modify the operational logic of it. Is that a thing?
Do you have a Customer ID from which you collected the Shipping address correctly?
its a guest payment, cant get an id
What do you mean? Do you see it in your Dashboard?
yes i can but its a guest account and i believe they dont have customer ids. I can give payment id of a successful transaction
here is one: ||pm_1OFm27Ef0s7M4UhFM2SrZ2hD||
Ok, I actually looked at the attached PaymentIntent IDs of both Payment Method objects that you shared and they actually have shipping addresses.
Where do you see the shipping addresss related to this PM?
interesting. im looking for address on payment page in stripe dashboard, i can only see the postcode and not the full address.
What page are you looking at?
OMG, im so sorry i was looking under customers. damn i need a coffee
i can see the address under payments page
lol sorry for wasting your time. that was really helpful
No worries. Happy to help.
