this is a documented limitation of the portal

https://stripe.com/docs/customer-management#get-started-with-the-customer-portal:~:text=Customer modifications to a trialing subscription will end the free trial and create an invoice for immediate payment.

as a a workaround you could maybe check if a Customer has an existing trialing subscription and if so, don't allow them to redirect them to the portal.

i mean here i have added subscription_update and subscription_cancel option. so, for now will remove subscription_update option from here. so, i can go ahead with subscription_cancel?

sure, I think that works, you can test all this in test mode and find out.
