Can you provide more context? What's happening exactly?
Sure. We recently changed from wordpress to hubspot cms. Our old stripe account (connected to our old wordpress) has stopped successfully processing existing subscriptions. They are labeled as "drafts"
When I investigate further, it seems like it's getting stuck on a webhook error, and I have no idea how to fix that
Do you have an example of one of the webhook errors?
I have tried lots of different things with webhooks and simply deleted all the endpoints, becuase nothing worked. I'm at a loss.
It sounds like your old Wordpress integration was probably relying on webhooks to transition your Subscriptions through their varying stages
So you likely need to have a valid webhook endpoint configured with Wordpress in order to keep your Subscriptions active
As soon as we went live on HubSpot I unexpectedly lost access to our wordpress backend.
Do you know how to go about getting a "valid webhook"?
That's a bit of a nebulous question. I would recommend contacting hubspot and/or wordpress to see what's going on, as it sounds like they are the ones that are handling a lot of the subscription processing and configuration. My last message was just based on a hunch, as I'm a Stripe developer and don't have a lot of context on hubspot/wordpress
HubSpot says its a stripe issue since it's Stripe that is requiring it
Webhook aside, any idea how to adjust current subscriptions so that they go through rather than just sitting as drafts?
requiring what exactly?
A valid webhook.
I mean, webhooks are unrelated to transitioning a Subscription through it's various stages unless Hubspot requires them to do it for you. So, who is handling your subscription transitions?
You or Hubspot?
All subscriptions existing prior to moving to hubspot cms were coming through wordpress/gravity forms.
And those are the ones that seem to be blocked
Could it be that Gravity Forms required that?
(Now that we have transitioned to HubSpot, all new subscriptions are going throigh HubSpot to stripe)
I mean, again, I have no idea what any of these 3rd parties require. You need to reach out to Wordpress and ask if the webhook failures are what's causing those subscriptions to remain in draft status
Ok, so what would I place here, ideally? What exactly is an endpoint?
We can't really explain endpoints to you. This channel is for web developers who are already experienced enough to understand the vernacular. If Wordpress is relying on webhooks to transition your subscriptions for you (agian, please go confirm with them that this is the case) then the webhook endpoint URL will come from them.
MMMMkkkk work on the bedside manner bro. Stripe support sent me here. Try kindness next time 😉
Support should not be sending you here. Do you have an email I can use to look up that thread?
