The collection method send_invoice does exactly that. It sends the Customer (via email) an Invoice that includes a link to a payment page where the Customer can provide payment method information

ok, because there's mention of automatic collection all over the docs talking about auto_advance=True. I didn't want to accidentally override the send invoice behavior somehow by turning on auto advance.

Right, that is if you are use the default collection method charge_automatically

ok, so setting the auto advance with send invoice will still automatically finalize after an hour and other items, but not try to automatically charge?
