So your question is if you can change a send_invoice Subscription into a charge_automatically subscription later?

Hi! There are a few questions in there.
- Can customers be transferred in advance of mandates?
- Does the suggested approach we're taking of creating subscriptions upfront then switching them over to the payment method (once transferred) sound sane?
- And, does the mandate initaite payments or do we need to set up a subscription, with the direct debit payment method, to do that?

- Yes, you can create a customer without a mandate or payment method, and then add both later
- Yes that could work. But I recommend testing this in test mode to make sure it works as expected.
- It's the Subscription itself that will create the recurring payments

ok, thanks. So, in regards to point 1. Do the customers get transferred over by Stripe as part of the migration? and, if so, do Stripe also associate the mandate with the corresponding mandate when it gets migrated at a later stage?

What do you mean by "as part of the migration"? Are you working with Stripe support to migrate your account to Stripe?

So, we have an app that uses Stripe Connect. One of our potential clients wants to use our app and therefore need to migrate from their current service (GoCardless) to Stripe.
