Hello! To update a Payment Method to be the default for all invoice/subscription payments you need to update the Customer and set invoice_settings.default_payment_method (https://stripe.com/docs/api/customers/update#update_customer-invoice_settings-default_payment_method)

when I send an invoice to customer and they pay it with a CC, the card is saved as a source, not a card. why? example cus_P0vLPUzoDfWmYP

The Hosted Invoice Page sometimes uses Sources, which is what we used to have instead of Payment Methods

can i do anything to make sure it's saved as payment method or is it because we use an older version of api? (from march 2020)?

I don't htink it's because ofyour API version - it's because we moved the hosted invoice page to use payment methods fairly recently and we didn't want to break existing users. If you right into support (https://support.stripe.com/contact) I believe you can request that you get the newer behavior
