What device are you referring to exactly?

#

What are you trying to do/build?

Sorry, didn't hear the update. I am building for the s700

#

I am trying to build a POC POS for our company. I believe I have one of the dev spec models...

#

Right now I am at the beginning. Just trying to get the device hooked to my laptop. adp devices returns nothing when plugged in through a known good usb -c cable.

High level android knowledge, yes i think you need developer mode enabled to connect devices like that, but i'm not sure what's expected for our s700 devices specifically. Looking...

Hmm it seems like you might be using some non-public functionality. Are you in touch with people at Stripe about what you're working on?

None of the public functionality requires any connection like this, eg using our server-driven integration or the mobile SDKs to connect to the smart readers.

Yes, probably non-public. But this channel does come up in the application git repo to ask questions and it is for an android app example code.

The basic question is, on a development s700 device, how does one get it to connect to a computer to be able to load code on to it 🙂

I'd suggest reaching out to stripe-terminal-betas@stripe.com for guidance on this. From what I can see devkit devices should ship with developer mode and adb use enabled

#

This should be covered in the docs linked in the readme of the sample repo I belive you're looking at

#

It's possible that you received a non-devkit s700 if you're unable to adb to it

#

Contacting that email with the serial number of the device would allow the team to confirm and replace if needed

Thanks synthrider. I will do that. This is an early alpha test device, so I am not sure. I appreciate the help. Have a wonderful day
