You are trying to transition from Direct Charges to Destination Charges?
Well, I want our connected accounts to receive email receipts and I was just told that were doing it wrong by using stripeAccount when creating payment intents. So now I am trying to work out how much i need to rework our system to fit with stripes ideals.
Ah okay. You are working with Express or Custom accounts here?

Based on the above responses its sounds like for the most part, payment stuff needs to be handled without the request options stripeAccount field, but potentially surrounding API's may need it?
Yeah that is mostly accurate
But it does matter what types of requests you are making and what the purpose is
But for the payment flow itself, that is mostly correct
Ok, cool. We're in the process of overhauling how our stripe integration works (for better regional support).. i thought I was about to be finished but probably better I work this into it as well so we start fresh with the recommended approach.
Ill use the above as a rule of thumb and then work out anything that doesnt seem to fit that pattern.

Sounds good. I also do want to be up front @median crane that you should reach out to our Support team about the fact that you want branding for the Connected Accounts on your payment receipts and that you are planning on using on_behalf_of. Your account is going to need to get configured for that to be the case (it doesn't yet happen by default due to a bug that we hope to fix in the future).
So you should start a thread with https://support.stripe.com/contact/login about that
Ill give them a shout, they might be able to help with a temporary solution too. We have a customer who really needs the receipts (country legal thing I believe), so, would be good to something in place while i work this out.
