Hi there ๐ we're not too familiar with the dashboard UIs, as we primarily focus on helping developers with our APIs and SDKs, but I think I might know what that is trying to show.
Is this a fairly new account? Has it ever processed a testmode payout?
Thanks for the reply, I am okay to use the SDK, I just happen to show the Dashboard in the screenshot ๐
The platform account is new, about 10 days old from when I registered with Stripe.
I have not yet made a test mode payout. Could that be the issue?
I believe so, the first payout for an account gets delayed 7-14 business days, and unfortunately our testmode flows also replicate that behavior.
Is there a way to add a test payout bank account?
I didn't want to use my real bank yet
As that will be provided by the project owner
Hm, I don't recall offhand how aggressive we are with verifications for bank account details in testmode. You can try using a real routing number and a fake account number, but if that does work you will want to triple check that account isn't carried over to livemode and used when you go live.
It only allows me to add a number into Live
Test mode it is greyed out, so I was just afraid to use the details in live mode
Aahh, that's what I was afraid of. In that case I don't think there is a good way to test those Payouts without adding a bank account.
Okay, I will add a real bank number then.
I did try to add a Test payout bank in live mode but it was rejected
Okay @modest crag I have added a real bank account in live mode and the made a test payout in test mode which has completed.
Are you saying that after this 14 days period for new accounts passes, customer payments should clear quicker?
If a customer subscription is billed to a credit card, those funds should arrive in my Stripe account and be spendable/available immediately? Or is it always 7-14 days?
It depends on the type of payment method being used, some have longer settlement times than others (such as ACH payments).
For credit cards, I believe 2-3 days is expected, but for those the settlement timing should align with the Payout Speed for your account/country:
https://stripe.com/docs/payouts#standard-payout-timing
Thank you I will investigate this
