If a customer refers a paying customer, we would like to credit (and later on pay out) the referring customer with 10% of the first year spending of the referred customer

Got it, we've no specific API for this. Some people implement it via coupon/discounts or utilise the customer balance: https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/customer/balance
