I think that's because we don't store cvc
It's actually not legal to store cvc
Businesses are not permitted to store the CVC number, so it’s unlikely that a fraudster can obtain this information through a computer breach. However, CVC verification doesn’t protect against the physical theft of a card, nor card information being used on a computer or website that isn’t secure.
Where were the payment methods stored previously? And what flow did you use to migrate them to Stripe?
The CVCs were stored in a PCICompliance orchestrator. We did a migration via API.
Our business model is SAAS, with monthly recurring charges. We cannot ask for the CVC in each collection.
We did a migration via API.
How specifically
Very specifically I do not know. It was done by the engineering team in contact with the PCI Compliance orchestrator team.
Ah. This discord is really just for helping engineers directly with api questions
Honestly I recommend you reach out to our support team
They have teams of folks who are better suited to help with data migration questions
Especially if your auth rate is dropping and getting a lot of declines
That's something they'd need to assist with
Ok I'll take it there. But I see that the chat with support is no longer available.
Can you give me a link to contact them?
