Ok I heard back from the team. So the issue is that you can only upgrade to a price that's of the same currency as the current price. Your customer portal configuration only has USD prices as available options to upgrade. You need a GBP price in there

I have one more question. is it possible to add promo code from customer portal to existing subscription like below?

cool. but I'm using the portal configuration from stripe dashboard. I've enabled the promotion code under the subscription section but it didn't work I think. I can see promo code field when I change the plan but not for the current plan.
