@desert dock the model you're describing is a "martketplace" where you are the "platform" and you faciliate payments on behalf of other businesses. This is done with our Connect product and you can read more about it here:
Since you accept payments on behalf of other companies, we do have to collect real details about their business and their representatives. This is a legal/compliance requirement, no way around it. Those businesses will need their own Stripe account that they can sign up for. We offer different types of accounts and which one to pick is up to you based on your business needs: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/accounts
That's a lot of content to read through but that should answer all your questions
I am technically not accepting payments on their behalf. I was wondering if I can just deposit money somewhere or any other way. The reason I’m asking is because it’s a hassle and a hurdle for me to convince merchants to create a stripe account, give bank details, and then accept the payment through something they don’t use. Does stripe have a mechanism to payout easily to someone else?
I just gave you all the links you need to figure this out and my second paragraph explicitly addresses that question. Please do take the time to read the docs to familiarize yourself with the feature.
Hmm yeah no I read through them before using this discord. I’m just asking if there’s a way I can use some other API to access a stripe payout and pay the merchants more easily.

Sweet, no worries
